How We Work
Our Process
- 01
Assess
We trace where the water comes from and where it pools, roof, slope, neighboring lots, before recommending anything. The fix has to match the cause.
- 02
Prep & grade
Trenching, grading, and base work laid out so gravity does the job: water always has somewhere downhill to go.
- 03
Install
Drains, basins, pipe, and stone installed with proper slope, filter fabric, and clean-outs, a system, not a band-aid.
- 04
Clean up & walkthrough
Sod and surfaces restored, site cleaned, and a walkthrough so you know exactly where your water goes from now on.
The JGaskins Difference
Why It Matters
Water is the most expensive problem on your property, it cracks pavement, kills lawns, floods basements, and undermines foundations. Solving it at the source costs a fraction of repairing the damage it causes. Drainage isn't a side service for us; it's in our name.

Good Questions
FAQ
How much does drainage work cost?
Every job starts with a free on-site assessment. A downspout extension is a small job; a full French drain system is a bigger one. We'll diagnose the actual source of your water problem and quote only what's needed to fix it.
How long does a drainage installation take?
Most residential drainage systems are installed in one to three days. Larger regrading projects can take longer, we'll give you a timeline with your estimate.
How long do French drains and catch basins last?
A properly built French drain (correct slope, washed stone, filter fabric) lasts decades. Basins and grates need occasional debris clearing, which takes minutes. We'll show you the simple maintenance during the walkthrough.
Will a French drain fix my wet basement?
Often, yes. If the water is coming from surface runoff or saturated soil against the foundation. If the problem starts below grade, you may need exterior waterproofing as well. We assess both and tell you honestly which one your house needs.
